Tea Ceremony
The Chinese Tea Ceremony is a beautiful and meaningful tradition where the bride and groom honoured their parents, elders, and ancestors. It’s a deeply symbolic ritual that celebrates family, respect, and the joining of two families.
I provide a range of tea sets and decorative elements to enhance your ceremony, and I have experience hosting Tea Ceremonies of all sizes—from intimate gatherings to larger celebrations. Whether you prefer a traditional or simplified version, I can guide you through every step to ensure the experience is smooth, respectful, and memorable.
A full Tea Ceremony may include traditional door games—playful challenges designed to test the groom’s sincerity—as well as travelling between family homes. These lively customs, along with the celebratory atmosphere, are believed to bring joy and ward off negative energy. Alternatively, a simplified ceremony can focus on serving tea to parents and close family, depending on your preferences.
